Saif Al Hajri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wael Abol, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dunton Bassett's zone, Fahhad Al Rodhan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gibrel Abol came out of the goal and Fahhad Al Rodhan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Horsham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eyad Al Ansari came free, but Saif Al Hajri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saif Al Hajri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wael Abol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saif Al Hajri had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Nemir Kakoli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Saif Al Hajri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nemir Kakoli went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 16 played minutes, Dunton Bassett's Nemir Kakoli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Saif Al Hajri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dunton Bassett reached it. Saif Al Hajri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wael Abol in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Eyad Al Ansari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eyad Al Ansari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eyad Al Ansari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Eyad Al Ansari made a precise shot to the right of Saif Al Hajri. Horsham AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Saif Al Hajri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eyad Al Ansari's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Saif Al Hajri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eyad Al Ansari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gawhar Al Matrok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gibrel Abol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eyad Al Ansari made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eyad Al Ansari in the 54th minute of play forced Horsham AFC's goalkeeper Saif Al Hajri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Morad Bo Abbas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Horsham AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fahhad Al Rodhan hit a great ball. The supporters of Horsham AFC booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamdan Dashti didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fahhad Al Rodhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Horsham AFC's Saif Al Hajri got control of the ball when Wael Abol tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eyad Al Ansari in the 79th minute of play forced Horsham AFC's goalkeeper Saif Al Hajri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saif Al Hajri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eyad Al Ansari showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 81 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Fahhad Al Rodhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horsham AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fahhad Al Rodhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gibrel Abol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eyad Al Ansari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saif Al Hajri having to interfere. Saif Al Hajri made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Wael Abol sent off a good shot on target. Horsham AFC's Saif Al Hajri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eyad Al Ansari in the 91st minute of play. Saif Al Hajri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eyad Al Ansari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eyad Al Ansari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saif Al Hajri having to interfere. Although Horsham AFC had been in control for most of the match, Dunton Bassett still came away with the win.
