The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 20 played minutes, FC Tbilisi 2007's Khudji Goloviznin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akim Bitsadze came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The wind increased when Merdan Goraniskov made the kick off in the second half. Merdan Goraniskov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akim Bitsadze having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Nodari Khatiashvili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nodari Khatiashvili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nodari Khatiashvili succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 61st playminute. Medani's Bakhar Magalov got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67thth minute of the game Merdan Goraniskov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medani's Akim Bitsadze was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Akim Bitsadze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikoloz Pawletko in the 68th minute of play. Akim Bitsadze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Merdan Goraniskov's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Bichiko Gvaramadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Medani's goal looked a bit too open when Merdan Goraniskov came free, but Akim Bitsadze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merdan Kobiashvili hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Merdan Goraniskov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akim Bitsadze was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
