Angabhu Sangma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Indradatta Sran having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dvarakadasa Aujla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Indradatta Sran was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Angabhu Sangma in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Indradatta Sran, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jalasa Warwaha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kacangala Bharadwaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Dvarakadasa Aujla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Indradatta Sran came out and tried to block the shot, but Dvarakadasa Aujla slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Santokh Solanki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Kacangala Bharadwaj managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lavenham's supporters rose to their feet, but Kacangala Bharadwaj was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jalasa Warwaha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Newton Heath FC's Dvarakadasa Aujla fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Dvarakadasa Aujla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Indradatta Sran 36 minutes into the match. Newton Heath FC's Dvarakadasa Aujla was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Angabhu Sangma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Newton Heath FC's Jalasa Warwaha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudha Malhotra in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Lavenham's Jaishankar Ghosh ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jalasa Warwaha. Jalasa Warwaha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Golaki Chhugani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Newton Heath FC got a freekick which was hit by Santokh Solanki. After 60 played minutes, Lavenham's Kartar Sanghera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jalasa Warwaha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lavenham reached it. Indradatta Sran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dvarakadasa Aujla in the 63rd minute of the match. When Jaishankar Ghosh fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lavenham's protests and gave Jaishankar Ghosh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Lavenham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaishankar Ghosh to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute of the match Candrata Sanghera shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Indradatta Sran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 80th minute, Dvarakadasa Aujla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
