Ciro Varela was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hema Sailo. Kamasakha Som took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atisaya Parekh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mina Bajwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ciro Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Bhupinderpal More was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crystal City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nagpur FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Crystal City's Bhupinderpal More got a free kick in the 9th minute. The supporters of Nagpur FC booed when Crystal City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaninaka Phom didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Crystal City's goal looked a bit too open when Sukhjinder Mandal came free, but Kamasakha Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Nagpur FC's Agnipa Khattqr nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kamasakha Som made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Akrosa Arneja in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atisaya Parekh during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Crystal City's zone, Giaanpreet Barua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamasakha Som came out of the goal and Giaanpreet Barua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Crystal City's goal looked a bit too open when Atisaya Parekh came free, but Kamasakha Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Mina Bajwa took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ciro Varela to make any attempt to save it. If Akopa Sharma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute, Anhu Bajwa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kamasakha Som was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 42nd match minute, Crystal City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bhupinderpal More to maneuver through the defense. Kamasakha Som took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anhu Bajwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnipa Khattqr in the 47th minute of play forced Crystal City's goalkeeper Kamasakha Som to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Nagpur FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 石寒天 was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes Nagpur FC got a freekick which was hit by Jagatjita Bhambra. 59 minutes into the match, Nagpur FC's goal looked a bit too open when Troy Lionheart came free, but Ciro Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 石寒天 in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atisaya Parekh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamasakha Som having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Nagpur FC's goal looked a bit too open when 石寒天 came free, but Ciro Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mina Bajwa in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Nagpur FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jaigupta Warwaha hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 石寒天 in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute 石寒天 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Crystal City's 石寒天 in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nagpur FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th minute Kotijit Kapoor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Crystal City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jagjeet Gasnette to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes Nagpur FC got a freekick which was hit by Sukhjinder Mandal. The Crystal City fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Crystal City's 石寒天 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kamasakha Som made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agnipa Khattqr in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute of the match, Atisaya Parekh tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kamasakha Som saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Nagpur FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
