A collision led to Ban Ai Phlai getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Rachan Wattanadumrong hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Thanabordee Niwate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenneth Blackham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Weerachai Vavdaw when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanawat Wastanagoun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Weerachai Vavdaw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Yalaza, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A hard shot 14 in the game by Kenneth Blackham from a close distance when the talented Weerachai Vavdaw managed to make a qualified save. Ban Ai Phlai's players were relieved. Kang Bin Jun came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Ban Ai Phlai's Pairach Boriboonphun. But to his dismay, Pairach Boriboonphun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanabordee Niwate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kang Bin Jun having to interfere. Teeraparb Kaewduangden made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Thanabordee Niwate however managed to control. When Thanawat Wastanagoun came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Red Star FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thanawat Wastanagoun couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ban Ai Phlai's Polgrid Winyar got a free kick in the 27th minute. Weerachai Vavdaw came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Star FC's Kenneth Blackham. But to his dismay, Kenneth Blackham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Kenneth Blackham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Václav Mazanec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenneth Blackhams short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Weerachai Vavdaw to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanawat Wastanagoun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Weerachai Vavdaw having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, Red Star FC's Kenneth Blackham made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Weerachai Vavdaw was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute Thanabordee Niwate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kang Bin Jun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Red Star FC's Kang Bin Jun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pairach Boriboonphun in the 51st minute of play. Ban Ai Phlai's Teeraparb Kaewduangden shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kang Bin Jun but with some difficulty. Ban Ai Phlai's Weerachai Vavdaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Blackham in the 64th minute of play. If Kenneth Blackham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenneth Blackham in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Weerachai Vavdaw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute of the match Leonard Paprotny sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Weerachai Vavdaw skillfully saved the ball. When Kenneth Blackham came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Red Star FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Blackham couldn't finish the play. If Kenneth Blackham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Lukasz Sidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Star FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukasz Sidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
