Spectators: 6866 (Terracing: 5020, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 10) Shapitears FC's Arif Lim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Shapitears FC's zone, Khairil Lee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alif Siang came out of the goal and Khairil Lee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shapitears FC's goalkeeper Alif Siang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute Steven Ching shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zafran Ching saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arif Lim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zafran Ching having to make a save. A collision led to Stannington AFC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Nicholas Tan hit a great ball. Zafran Ching acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 11th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Farhan Lee. Alif Siang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khairil Lee in the 17th minute of play. If Arif Lim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Farhan Lee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shapitears FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stannington AFC the free kick. A collision led to Shapitears FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Farhan Lee hit a great ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Shahron Dhanabalan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stannington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shahron Dhanabalan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Khairil Lee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alif Siang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shahron Dhanabalan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alif Siang having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shapitears FC's goalkeeper Alif Siang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shahron Dhanabalan was the one to do the kick off. Shahron Dhanabalan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alif Siang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Khairil Lee came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Stannington AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khairil Lee couldn't finish the play. Shahron Dhanabalan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arif Lim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Steven Ching came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Shapitears FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steven Ching couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Shapitears FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Khairil Lee fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 67thth minute of the game Shahron Dhanabalan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shapitears FC's Alif Siang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Khairil Lee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alif Siang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Shapitears FC got a freekick which was hit by Famih Rajah. Shahron Dhanabalan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Khairil Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alif Siang having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Stannington AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
