The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mujahid Lee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sarb Abdul who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Jithu Choy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jithu Choy was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Jonathan Kang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonathan Kang really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Rudy Cho charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudy Cho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Geadling's Rudy Cho got a free kick in the 25th minute. Afriz Yip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Devan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Geadling got a freekick which was hit by Famih Choy. Sarb Abdul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jithu Choy having to interfere. Jithu Choy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sarb Abdul in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jonathan Kang charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Kang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Kang kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of Blackpool booed when Geadling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Kang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Famih Choy made in the 69th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nicholas Dhanabalan. 77 minutes into the match, Geadling's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Devan came free, but Afriz Yip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicholas Dhanabalan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute Nicholas Dhanabalan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jithu Choy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 85th minute of the match Rudy Cho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rudy Cho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rudy Cho hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Afriz Yip, was totally fooled by Blackpool's Felix Choy, who 92 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
