Jonathan Shyan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Sajeev Braddell hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Sean Sim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Shahron Teo. Singapur FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Shahron Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Sim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spang FC's Arif Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rifki Dhanabalan in the 21st minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Rifki Dhanabalan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Arif Lim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arif Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zak Chong in the 32nd minute of play. Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rifki Dhanabalan in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Spang FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zak Henderson came free, but Arif Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arif Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zak Henderson in the 37th minute of play. Rifki Dhanabalan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Arif Lim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spang FC's Arif Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zak Henderson in the 41st minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Rifki Dhanabalan notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Spang FC's Arif Lim. Arif Lim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexander Sim was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Rifki Dhanabalan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Singapur FC and the Spang FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Singapur FC got a freekick which was hit by Rifki Dhanabalan. 63 minutes into the game, Zak Chong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Arif Lim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Spang FC's Arif Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rifki Dhanabalan in the 66th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Rifki Dhanabalan took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Arif Lim to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Spang FC's Hamir Pillai got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute, Singapur FC's Zak Henderson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 88th minute, Spang FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rifki Dhanabalan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Spang FC's Alexander Sim got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alexander Sim came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Spang FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Sim couldn't finish the play.
