The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Saltaire's Karim Ghazi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Rajah in the 27th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Saltaire got a freekick which was hit by Bartosz Karanowski. Karim Ghazi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammad Singh in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Aziz Rajah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Oakham were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asiz Rajah to make the kick off. Karim Ghazi came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Oakham's Mark Koh. But to his dismay, Mark Koh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Karim Ghazi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asiz Rajah in the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Asiz Rajah's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karim Ghazi was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asiz Rajah in the 75th minute of play forced Saltaire's goalkeeper Karim Ghazi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rifki Pillai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Karim Ghazi made a huge save. After 79 minutes, 龚明宁 mouthed his way into the referee's book.
