Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Springsure FC's Ellis Hoskin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Springsure FC's Reese Czaczka got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Earnest Algoud succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Ellis Hoskin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Legg. Ridgley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ellis Hoskin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Nick Mcgregor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Connolly, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Abe Burtt kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Conner Perrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Legg having to interfere. Springsure FC's Nick Mcgregor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Connolly in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Matthias Renny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Mcgregor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Boyde Renny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Springsure FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ridgley the free kick. The supporters of Ridgley booed when Springsure FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boyde Renny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ridgley's Martin Legg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conner Perrett in the 25th minute of play. Martin Legg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ellis Hoskin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 1-2 became the score in the 26th minute when Ellis Hoskin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Conner Perrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Springsure FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyde Renny to maneuver through the defense. Martin Legg came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Springsure FC's Boyde Renny. But to his dismay, Boyde Renny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 39th minute, Matthias Renny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ridgley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After having played for 43 minutes, Jacob Connolly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ridgley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Connolly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Springsure FC's Nick Mcgregor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Connolly in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob Connolly to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Ellis Hoskin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Legg. Ellis Hoskin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. A collision led to Ridgley getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fleming Ross hit a great ball. Boyde Renny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Martin Legg made a huge save. Boyde Renny scored 2-6 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Legg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th match minute, Ridgley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Connolly to maneuver through the defense. Martin Legg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conner Perrett in the 71st minute. Ridgley's Martin Legg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Ridgley from getting a goal against them. Jacob Connolly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Mcgregor having to interfere. Nick Mcgregor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earnest Algoud in the 88th minute of the match. Ridgley's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Ellis Hoskin scored to the left of an out of position Martin Legg, making the score, 2-7. The Springsure FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Springsure FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
