In the 3rd minute, Silvério Pinhal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayla FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, Adelaide's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Pinhal came free, but Brian Brennand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Silvério Pinhal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvério Pinhal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brian Brennand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Pinhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Pinhal in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Brennand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Ayla FC's Nilson Fraser got control of the ball when Christian Boylin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ayla FC's Ivan Odon managed to work through Adelaide's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ivan Odon dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Odon in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Brennand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Silvério Pinhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Brennand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvério Pinhal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvério Pinhal took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brian Brennand. Brian Brennand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 32ndth minute of the game Silvério Pinhal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Adelaide's Brian Brennand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Silvério Pinhal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Brian Brennand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th match minute, Adelaide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carleton Atkin to maneuver through the defense. Adelaide's Brian Brennand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Knevett in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Silvério Pinhal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brian Brennand was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. When Rob Porteus came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ayla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rob Porteus couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Boylin got free with Nilson Fraser in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Silvério Pinhal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Brennand having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Odon in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Brennand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57thth minute of the game Silvério Pinhal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Adelaide's Brian Brennand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvério Pinhal might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brian Brennand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Pinhal ran back to his position shaking his head. Brian Brennand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Pinhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes in the game, Silvério Pinhal dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Jack Argoud kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Silvério Pinhal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brian Brennand. Silvério Pinhal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. In the 80th minute Silvério Pinhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Brennand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Silvério Pinhal took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Brian Brennand to make any attempt to save it. Brian Brennand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvério Pinhal in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Jack Argoud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvério Pinhal in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brian Brennand, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 95th minute Silvério Pinhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Brennand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ayla FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Adelaide.
