Modesto Gipuzkoa was slow to take the kick. During this time Argentina's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Modesto Gipuzkoa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baltasar Lastur quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedicto Naelio in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltasar Lastur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baltasar Lastur made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Benedicto Naelio sent off a good shot on target. Baltasar Lastur came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Argentina's Benedicto Naelio. But to his dismay, Benedicto Naelio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedicto Naelio made a kick off. Baltasar Lastur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Naelio's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Argentina made a substitution. Severo Rolado replaced Armando Felipillo. After 71 minutes Roja Directa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modesto Gipuzkoa who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Amado Arotza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Roja Directa's Baltasar Lastur did a great save. 72 minutes into the game, Amado Arotza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Baltasar Lastur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baltasar Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Rolado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltasar Lastur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Rolado in the 77th minute of the match. When Argentina's Amado Arotza in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 82nd minute, Claudio Domeka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Aimar came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Argentina fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Argentina's Amado Arotza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Roja Directa defense, Severo Rolado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltasar Lastur. The Roja Directa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltasar Lastur should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Argentina fans cheered their team off the field, for while Roja Directa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
