Ximenez Caneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Petter Phan in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Rundhaug came free, but Ximenez Caneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Brenna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of mixednutz XI booed when Deportivo Galicia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Burt Cawthorne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rune Rundhaug might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ximenez Caneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Rundhaug ran back to his position shaking his head. Erik Brenna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto in the 25th minute of play. mixednutz XI's Erik Brenna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burt Cawthorne in the 29th minute of play. After 29 played minutes mixednutz XI got a freekick which was hit by Hans-Petter Phan. In the 32nd minute Burt Cawthorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Brenna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ximenez Caneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans-Petter Phan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's goalkeeper Ximenez Caneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rune Rundhaug. In the 45th minute Hans-Petter Phan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximenez Caneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cordairo Aveo to strike the kick off in the second half.
