Lyon 69ers's Grayson Gruenigen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Lyon 69ers from getting a goal against them. If Gösta Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11thth minute of the game Karim Giroud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blåvitt's Mike Cassar Torreggiani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Örjan Johansson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Grayson Gruenigen came out and tried to block the shot, but Örjan Johansson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Grayson Gruenigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Raeijmaeckers in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Blåvitt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Örjan Johansson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daryl Cottineau in the 29th minute of play forced Blåvitt's goalkeeper Mike Cassar Torreggiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Blåvitt's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Giroud came free, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yohann Bricout recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daryl Cottineau in the 36th minute of play forced Blåvitt's goalkeeper Mike Cassar Torreggiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Cassar Torreggiani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karim Giroud went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Grayson Gruenigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Raeijmaeckers in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, one of Lyon 69ers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 47 played minutes Blåvitt got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Lundberg.

Daryl Cottineau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Mike Cassar Torreggiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Blåvitt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Lundberg to maneuver through the defense. Karim Giroud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani made a huge save. Lyon 69ers's Daryl Cottineau was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Mike Cassar Torreggiani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 67th minute Blåvitt were awarded a corner. Konrad Gustafsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Blåvitt's Konrad Gustafsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Grayson Gruenigen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Jesper Burman notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Lyon 69ers's Grayson Gruenigen. Grayson Gruenigen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grayson Gruenigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Lundberg in the 76th minute of play. Grayson Gruenigen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Raeijmaeckers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mike Cassar Torreggiani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francis Graffin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 81 minute of play. Grayson Gruenigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Lundberg in the 92nd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lyon 69ers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
