The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Santos in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Dionísio saved LauerArmy from getting behind. In the 5th minute, Giovanni Secco made a precise shot to the right of Mazinho Dionísio. LauerArmy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 8 minutes, Giovanni Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 9 played minutes LauerArmy got a freekick which was hit by Rony Ramalho. Paulo Jardel struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. José Maria Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LauerArmy. If Rubens Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® defense, James Rodriguez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Ramos. The Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Ramos should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, LauerArmy's Rony Ramalho got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Campidelis during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aílton Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. James Rodriguez's late challenge caught a Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. James Rodriguez helped the player get up and apologised. 30 minutes into the match, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goal looked a bit too open when James Rodriguez came free, but José Maria Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Secco in the 32nd minute of play forced LauerArmy's goalkeeper Mazinho Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Fábio Santos put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mazinho Dionísio. After 40 minutes, Luís Fabiano Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® and the LauerArmy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Castro hit a great ball. Mazinho Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Jardel was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Gernando dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giovanni Secco took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho Dionísio. Mazinho Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 63 played minutes, LauerArmy's Carlos Augusto Barral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Maria Ramos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LauerArmy reached it. After a rather tough play, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Luiz Paulo Montenegro got a free kick in the 64th minute. Paulo Jardel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 played minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Luciano. Giovanni Secco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Mazinho Dionísio made a huge save. Mazinho Dionísio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubens Viana in the 80th minute. In the 86th minute, Rony Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovanni Secco got free with Mazinho Dionísio in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Rubens Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Gernando dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
