After some careless play in the Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ defense, Domingos Froylan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Eztebe. The Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Eztebe should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Abeitia came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Daniel Abeitia sped through Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roberto Eztebe. 14 minutes into the match, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Aureliano Karlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualterio Burutzagi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aureliano Karlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Abeitia in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Aureliano Karlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualterio Burutzagi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gualterio Burutzagi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aureliano Karlo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. With an all-out effort, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Gualterio Burutzagi threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aureliano Karlo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Los Delfines's Domingos Froylan got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Daniel Abeitia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Delfines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Abeitia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Aureliano Karlo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualterio Burutzagi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Abeitia in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute Domingos Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ made a substitution. Julien Staffelbach replaced Aureliano Karlo. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Abeitia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ruperto Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wojciech Fiszer kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Froylan in the 58th minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Julien Staffelbach got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th match minute, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wojciech Fiszer to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Staffelbach came free, but Gualterio Burutzagi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Delfines's Saverio Regis was substituted for Daniel Abeitia. Los Delfines's Constantino Remicio was substituted for Clemente Gonzalez. After 68 minutes, Romulo Abilio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ and the Los Delfines players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Delfines booed when Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Libertad in the 74th minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Delfines's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eduardo Gervaso in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julien Staffelbach in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualterio Burutzagi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute Romulo Abilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Burutzagi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Wojciech Fiszer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hilario Asteri in the 88 minute of the game. A collision led to Los Delfines getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Fulgencio Perutxo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 89th minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Gualterio Burutzagi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Eztebe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Libertad's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. In the 99th minute Los Delfines were awarded a corner. Eduardo Gervaso went to the cornerflag to take it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Delfines players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ.
