Walter Huarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Basso, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Salz in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eulalio Urbasa saved Soldados De Román from getting behind. If Sigge Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Soldados De Román played a much better game than Astillero del Guayas and deserved their victory. The Astillero del Guayas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
