John Donnelly scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Blakeley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vincent Blakeley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Emander, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes, Calvin Clark mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Egg Chasers FC and the TibaDons players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Egg Chasers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calvin Clark to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Emander in the 24th minute of play forced Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Vincent Blakeley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes TibaDons's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Johnathan Jobson who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvin Clark got free with Pepe Le Petit in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute Eric Clegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Blakeley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute Peter Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Le Petit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Brookman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Pepe Le Petit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calvin Clark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John Donnelly made a kick off. Egg Chasers FC's Vincent Blakeley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Egg Chasers FC from getting a goal against them. Pepe Le Petit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Brookman in the 54th minute of the match. Pepe Le Petit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Crouch in the 58th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Ian Emander could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Vincent Blakeley however easily saved by the left post. After 61 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Brookman. The supporters of TibaDons booed when Egg Chasers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Whieldon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vincent Blakeley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Fenton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Rex Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute John Donnelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Blakeley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Blakeley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Donnelly's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Rocky Balboa charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rocky Balboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, one of TibaDons:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TibaDons. Pierce Gerrard hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match Johnathan Jobson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pepe Le Petit skillfully saved the ball. Vincent Blakeley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Donnelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
