Ruy Goiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 5 minutes into the match, Matthew Brookman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy Goiano. Portuguesa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matthew Brookman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Egg Chasers FC. Matthew Brookman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ruy Goiano. 3-0. 18 minutes into the match, Egg Chasers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Severo came free, but Fabien Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Des Wicks had several of the Portuguesa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Ruy Goiano as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 24th minute Des Wicks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Valdo Mazza hit a great ball. When %teams%'s Des Wicks was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 5-0 just inside the left pole, 29 minutes into the game. Ruy Goiano was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. When Egg Chasers FC's Des Wicks in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portuguesa's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Des Wicks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Des Wicks scored 6-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruy Goiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Egg Chasers FC's Lawrence Scriven got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruy Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Des Wicks in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Augusto de Barros made a kick off. When Jonny Wilkinson came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Egg Chasers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Wilkinson couldn't finish the play. Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Brookman in the 53rd minute of play. After 53 played minutes Portuguesa got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Maranhense. In the 55th minute, Alistair Riley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Portuguesa's Jano Berger got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Des Wicks came free, but Ruy Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennie Sanderson in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Matthew Brookman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy Goiano. In the 77th minute Lennie Sanderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Valdo Mazza hit a great ball. After 84 minutes, Des Wicks made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruy Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Des Wicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Portuguesa's Betinho Severo pulled a muscle in his back after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franz Hardcastle during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Franz Hardcastle hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Alistair Riley got a free kick in the 95th minute.
