The referee ignored Club Almirante Brown's protests and gave Prospero Abad a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Prospero Abad got a free kick in the 20th minute. Primitivo Chaime recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Chaime in the 26th minute of play. Sportivo Ben Hur's Jorge Hagi managed to work through Club Almirante Brown's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jorge Hagi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Club Almirante Brown were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Sportivo Ben Hur's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicanor Ceandro took the corner. Club Almirante Brown's Felix Gines was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Montrell Harrell in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a little luck, Sportivo Ben Hur's Montrell Harrell got control of the ball when Felix Gines tried to sneak it across the goal line. Montrell Harrell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Gines's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Flavio Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Hagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 82nd minute, Benedicto Chale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobald Korytkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfredo Segio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Montrell Harrell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Wilfredo Segio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
