Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zézinho Simões having to make a save. Zézinho Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Evaristo Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Fernandez spun around in front of the goal 44 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal. After 46 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Talló. 47 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Robin van Persie broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MarquinhosEC had played much better football throughout.
