KARA ☪ KARTAL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave istanbulls the free kick. Pasquale Gervais hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Pasquale Gervais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Göksel Canfeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junior Zoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleksander Giec in the 17th minute. Pasquale Gervais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Pasquale Gervais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksel Canfeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Senna in the 34th minute of play forced KARA ☪ KARTAL's goalkeeper Junior Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Junior Zoff made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Alp Enginalp sent off a good shot on target. Göksel Canfeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferey Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Jefferey Cox left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KARA ☪ KARTAL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pasquale Gervais was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes istanbulls got a freekick which was hit by Ertan İdrisoğlu. Göksel Canfeda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pasquale Gervais in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pasquale Gervais in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Göksel Canfeda saved istanbulls from getting behind. Göksel Canfeda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jefferey Cox in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jefferey Cox got free with Göksel Canfeda in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, KARA ☪ KARTAL's Pasquale Gervais got a free kick in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Senna in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Junior Zoff saved KARA ☪ KARTAL from getting behind. Göksel Canfeda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferey Cox in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alp Enginalp in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Junior Zoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th match minute, istanbulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haldun Özol to maneuver through the defense. Jefferey Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göksel Canfeda having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Alp Enginalp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Junior Zoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 86 minutes into the match, KARA ☪ KARTAL's goal looked a bit too open when Alp Enginalp came free, but Junior Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, istanbulls's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jefferey Cox fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Junior Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alp Enginalp in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remond Oosterveld got free with Göksel Canfeda in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When istanbulls's Alp Enginalp in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KARA ☪ KARTAL's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Alp Enginalp put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Junior Zoff. KARA ☪ KARTAL's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
