When Grant Pustak fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Mintis Vilnius's protests and gave Grant Pustak a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FK Mintis Vilnius getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Grant Pustak hit a great ball. Moose Knuckles's Svajūnas Ričkus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubertas Dabkevičius in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute FK Mintis Vilnius were awarded a corner. Hubertas Dabkevičius went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tomas Danilevičius almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Moose Knuckles's Svajūnas Ričkus did a great save. 14 minutes into the match, Moose Knuckles's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Danilevičius came free, but Svajūnas Ričkus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hubertas Dabkevičius got free with Svajūnas Ričkus in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Svajūnas Ričkus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Danilevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 43rd minute, Benjaminas Duseika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
In the 50thth minute of the game Tomas Danilevičius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moose Knuckles's Svajūnas Ričkus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FK Mintis Vilnius's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hubertas Dabkevičius in the 51st minute. The corner led FK Mintis Vilnius's Domas Jančiauskas to fire away a dangerous shot which Svajūnas Ričkus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of FK Mintis Vilnius booed when Moose Knuckles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjaminas Duseika didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Tomas Danilevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 91st minute, Amado Guterres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svajūnas Ričkus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FK Mintis Vilnius had played much better football throughout.
