Nexhat Shaho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Peru's Enrique Cassaretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marjus Laçka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enrique Cassaretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mehat Kovaçi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calixto Inchaurdi having to make a save. In the 17th minute Mehat Kovaçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calixto Inchaurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julien Luarasi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Calixto Inchaurdi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aulin Janku in the 25th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Calixto Inchaurdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Calixto Inchaurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehat Kovaçi got free with Calixto Inchaurdi in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Albania's Mehat Kovaçi in 34 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Calixto Inchaurdi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 36 minutes into the match, Albania's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Marjus Laçka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marjus Laçka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 37th minute of play. Enrique Cassaretto took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marjus Laçka. Marjus Laçka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Marjus Laçka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Fisnik Qiraxhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Cassaretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Enrique Cassaretto made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Enrique Cassaretto notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Albania's Marjus Laçka. Marjus Laçka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enrique Cassaretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marjus Laçka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Cassaretto ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the match, Albania's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Marjus Laçka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru made a substitution. Tulio Andinyach replaced Marino Pacheco. In the 71st minute Peru were awarded a corner. Albert Camus went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Albert Camus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Albania's Marjus Laçka did a great save. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Leonardo Colmenares hit a great ball. Marjus Laçka made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Xuaco Oñaederra sent off a good shot on target. After 81 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Martino Armona. 86 minutes into the game, Xuaco Oñaederra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marjus Laçka. Xuaco Oñaederra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blasi Asas in the 89th minute of play forced Albania's goalkeeper Marjus Laçka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Albania's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Albert Camus was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Xuaco Oñaederra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Marjus Laçka made a huge save. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
