Spectators: 563 (Terracing: 424, Seating: 129, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Xacintu Magadan took the kick off in the first half of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Galicia's Daunte Canzino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tobias Otoniel. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. 7 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Clemente Anaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ximenez Caneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tobias Otoniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 11th minute Juan Fernando Pratto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Otoniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xacintu Magadan kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Clemente Anaya scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ximenez Caneiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Burt Cawthorne reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tobias Otoniel. The goal made the score 2-1. Jan-Olof Eliasson struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ximenez Caneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta. The corner led Deportivo Galicia's Juan Fernando Pratto to fire away a dangerous shot which Tobias Otoniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tobias Otoniel was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Juan Fernando Pratto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juan Fernando Pratto really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. 38 minutes into the match, Clemente Anaya notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Deportivo Galicia's Ximenez Caneiro. Ximenez Caneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. La Gallardeta's Tobias Otoniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Fernando Pratto in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Eliasson came free, but Ximenez Caneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Galicia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vintilă Guriță was slow to take the kick. During this time La Gallardeta's players had a chance to rest. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Olof Eliasson to make the kick off. When Clemente Anaya fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Gallardeta's protests and gave Clemente Anaya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Clemente Anaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Otoniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Deportivo Galicia's Ximenez Caneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Paz in the 58th minute of play. Tobias Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burt Cawthorne in the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as La Gallardeta's Jan-Olof Eliasson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ximenez Caneiro. That made the score 3-3 after 66 minutes of play. Ximenez Caneiro was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Clemente Anaya capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clemente Anaya really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. Tobias Otoniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yves Passot went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. After having played for 88 minutes, Clemente Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gallardeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Anaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yves Passot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Otoniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Yves Passot in Deportivo Galicia was the one to initiate the kick off. In the 106th minute, Yves Passot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Galicia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. Deportivo Galicia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
