After some careless play in the Vietnam defense, Wlodzimierz Penczkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hoàng Tran. The Vietnam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hoàng Tran should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Mai to make the kick off. Domingo Norino hit a great ball. Wlodzimierz Penczkowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Hoàng Tran made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Nguyễn Mai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vietnam fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 67th minute, Cementerio Club's Domingo Norino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hoàng Tran. Hoàng Tran yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. In the 71st minute of the match Lê Thuyet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Austen Farrow skillfully saved the ball. Hoàng Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wlodzimierz Penczkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Vietnam's goalkeeper Hoàng Tran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wlodzimierz Penczkowski. Wlodzimierz Penczkowskis short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Hoàng Tran to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 86 minutes into the game, Cementerio Club's Domingo Norino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hoàng Tran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Although Vietnam had been in control for most of the match, Cementerio Club still came away with the win.
