When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Ezequiel Cordarin took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Honorio Fagondo to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Boxitracio FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Teofilo Dimo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Celta de Virgos defense, Carlos Paul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elberg Largan. The Celta de Virgos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elberg Largan should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute Teofilo Dimo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elberg Largan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Celta de Virgos's goalkeeper Elberg Largan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Celta de Virgos's zone, Carlos Paul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elberg Largan came out of the goal and Carlos Paul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boxitracio FC's Carlos Paul got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boxitracio FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
