Jim Mitchell was slow to take the kick. During this time Margaret Atwood Impact's players had a chance to rest. Michael Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Hammerslev having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Jim Mitchell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Margaret Atwood Impact fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jim Mitchell took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kai Hammerslev. Kai Hammerslev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Kai Hammerslev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Rosenhøj Boldklub's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Mitchell came free, but Kai Hammerslev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kristof Sveje fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosenhøj Boldklub's protests and gave Kristof Sveje a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aslak Schjær got free with Christopher Love in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Janick Bertram in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Love saved Margaret Atwood Impact from getting behind. Kai Hammerslev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Mitchell in the 44th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jim Mitchell to make the kick off. Kai Hammerslev made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Jim Mitchell sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes Margaret Atwood Impact got a freekick which was hit by Mathew Gunter. Rosenhøj Boldklub's Kai Hammerslev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Rosenhøj Boldklub from getting a goal against them. Michael Dalton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kai Hammerslev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Janick Bertram took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christopher Love. Christopher Love dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. With a little luck, Rosenhøj Boldklub's Kai Hammerslev got control of the ball when Jim Mitchell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samuel Weltz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Christopher Love tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rosenhøj Boldklub's Aksel Noy was substituted for Stefan Wahl. Rosenhøj Boldklub's Timo Hammerskov was substituted for Jan Motal. Rosenhøj Boldklub's Johan Ostersen was substituted for Samuel Weltz. The audience was convinced that Michael Dalton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kai Hammerslev was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Nikolai Næsbo charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nikolai Næsbo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes, Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kai Hammerslev came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Margaret Atwood Impact reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Margaret Atwood Impact walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
