The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ booed when Gloria Steinem Liberty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Norfolk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Kevin Reid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Turek was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After 16 minutes of play, Gloria Steinem Liberty's Kevin Reid made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Turek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jan Turek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Reid in the 21st minute of the match. Jan Turek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Reid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Turek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Reid's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevin Reid in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Turek saved GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ from getting behind. Ben Hazel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Kuszczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Reid came free, but Jan Turek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Gloria Steinem Liberty's Kevin Reid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Turek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Reid came free, but Jan Turek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Kevin Reid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Jan Turek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gloria Steinem Liberty's Ben Hazel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Gloria Steinem Liberty from getting a goal against them. The GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gloria Steinem Liberty were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin Reid made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Christopher Norfolk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gloria Steinem Liberty's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Norfolk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Turek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Jan Turek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute Mark Newman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Turek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Miroslaw Labus in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gloria Steinem Liberty's Daniel Ireland. After 66 played minutes Gloria Steinem Liberty got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Reid. In the 73rd minute, Gloria Steinem Liberty's Richard Hunter seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Richard Hunter the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gloria Steinem Liberty protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Richard Hunter had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 72nd minute, one of Gloria Steinem Liberty:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gloria Steinem Liberty. In the 76th match minute, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Labus to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Christopher Norfolk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Turek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Christopher Norfolk came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Gloria Steinem Liberty fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Norfolk couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Zbigniew Jajecznica got a free kick in the 88th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gloria Steinem Liberty's Mark Newman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Turek. That made the score 1-3 after 90 minutes of play. Christopher Norfolk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Jan Turek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Gloria Steinem Liberty left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ.
