When David Ransom fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ada Lovelace Engines's protests and gave David Ransom a yellow card for diving instead. David Ransom kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Ephraim Reeb sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stephen Clough skillfully saved the ball. Stephen Clough stood somewhat misplaced when Vince György came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 12 minute. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Stephen Clough successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 46th minute Kálmán Pintér shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen Clough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Francis made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Ada Lovelace Engines got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Williams. If Aladár Újházi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th minute, Bertold Lőrinc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephen Clough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince György in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, David Showell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ada Lovelace Engines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Héreg SC the free kick. Vince György fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Clough having to interfere.
