Marxistas's Vladimir Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathew Gunter in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes Marxistas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jim Mitchell who took care of the corner kick. Vladimir Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimir Costa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jim Mitchell. After 67 minutes, Timothy Watson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Margaret Atwood Impact and the Marxistas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Margaret Atwood Impact getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Timothy Watson hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Jarbas Siqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christopher Love was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
