The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aristides Hondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathew Gunter in the 4th minute of the match. Jim Mitchell struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Aristides Hondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margaret Atwood Impact. After 9 minutes CA Twister Rodríguez's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jim Mitchell who took care of the corner kick. Hylton Brookes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. CA Twister Rodríguez's Aristides Hondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Dalton in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to CA Twister Rodríguez getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jacobo Galsino hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes CA Twister Rodríguez got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Ramond. When Timothy Watson came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Margaret Atwood Impact fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timothy Watson couldn't finish the play. Michael Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Hondo having to interfere. When CA Twister Rodríguez's Gonzalo Ramond in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Margaret Atwood Impact's goalie prevented a goal. Aristides Hondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathew Gunter, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Aristides Hondo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell. But to his dismay, Jim Mitchell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonzalo Ramond in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Love saved Margaret Atwood Impact from getting behind. Christopher Love showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Ramond in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, CA Twister Rodríguez's goalkeeper Aristides Hondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jim Mitchell. Christopher Love showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Ramond in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Margaret Atwood Impact was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Hay to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, 秦青斌 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Twister Rodríguez's supporters crossed their fingers, but 秦青斌 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Damian Boni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Ramond came free, but Christopher Love reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Ramond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to CA Twister Rodríguez getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Juan Frichoso hit a great ball. Michael Dalton hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Christopher Love took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 秦青斌, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 played minutes CA Twister Rodríguez got a freekick which was hit by Juan Frichoso. Aristides Hondo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Mitchell in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Margaret Atwood Impact getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Adam Searle hit a great ball. After 95 played minutes Margaret Atwood Impact got a freekick which was hit by Michael Dalton. When the match was over Margaret Atwood Impact could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CA Twister Rodríguez throughout the match.
