The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jim Mitchell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Collins having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blair Wicks in the 9th minute of play forced Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Dalton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Collins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Menzies. Pijnacker's Humberto Collins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Mitchell in the 16th minute of play. Humberto Collins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hylton Brookes in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love got control of the ball when Danny Menzies tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Dalton in the 25th minute of play forced Pijnacker's goalkeeper Humberto Collins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Love took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Wicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Blair Wicks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christopher Love. Margaret Atwood Impact's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blair Wicks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jim Mitchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Humberto Collins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frits Duin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikolaj Pliszka hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Humberto Collins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Mitchell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blair Wicks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 2-0 became the score in the 53rd minute when Blair Wicks elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Chris Randall hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Pijnacker's Benet Argoños was substituted for Danny Menzies. Chris Randall kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Hylton Brookes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-1 in the 64th minute. Humberto Collins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hylton Brookes in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benet Argoños in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Love saved Margaret Atwood Impact from getting behind. Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikolaj Pliszka in the 73rd minute of play. Jim Mitchell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Humberto Collins made a huge save. If Michael Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Humberto Collins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hylton Brookes in the 82nd minute. Timothy Watson hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Pijnacker's Humberto Collins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Pijnacker from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the match, Pijnacker's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Dalton came free, but Humberto Collins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Pijnacker's goalkeeper Humberto Collins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Dalton. Kyle Hay charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kyle Hay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kyle Hay kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Timothy Watson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Margaret Atwood Impact and the Pijnacker players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Blair Wicks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
