The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Kreuter got free with Christopher Love in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC 08 Brühl's Roman Kreuter got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Boehm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Margaret Atwood Impact eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
