The audience was convinced that Terry Jamieson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Ranolfo was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Nilmar Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Celso Javiar. Milferio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Jamieson came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes in the game Jonatan Iraitz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Enzo Tono. In the 15th minute, Enzo Tono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Ranolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Tono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Jailson da Mata threw the ball into play from the sideline. Estudiantes de América's Prospero Gabirel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Celso Javiar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nilmar Marinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Jamieson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de América's zone, Terry Jamieson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Ranolfo came out of the goal and Terry Jamieson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

After some careless play in the Milferio defense, Nilmar Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Javiar. The Milferio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Javiar should have stopped the shot. If Octavio Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Gavino Raymundo replaced Leroy Sane. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. In the 60th minute Concetto Trasatti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Javiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Blăniță in the 78th minute of play forced Milferio's goalkeeper Celso Javiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Javiar came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Traian Blăniță. But to his dismay, Traian Blăniță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 89 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Avellaneda came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Iraitz in the 93rd minute of play.
