Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rafa Arantes took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, SANTOS F.C's Rafa Arantes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The supporters of SANTOS F.C booed when Margaret Atwood Impact was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hylton Brookes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Geovanni Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Michael Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Margaret Atwood Impact's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Dalton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Margaret Atwood Impact's Michael Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diogo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Mitchell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christopher Love made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafa Arantes in the 21st minute. Diogo Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jim Mitchell went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Messias got free with Christopher Love in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SANTOS F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Geovanni Cerezo in the 30th minute. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when SANTOS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Margaret Atwood Impact got a freekick which was hit by Adam Searle. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafa Arantes in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher Love prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute Jim Mitchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Jim Mitchell put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Diogo Fernandez. Jim Mitchell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Fernandez having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Umberto Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS F.C and the Margaret Atwood Impact players grew even worse after the yellow card. Umberto Berger hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jim Mitchell to strike the kick off in the second half. Jim Mitchell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Diogo Fernandez firmly grabbed it by the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's Timothy Watson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diogo Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 62 minutes, Michael Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margaret Atwood Impact's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Dalton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Margaret Atwood Impact's Michael Dalton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diogo Fernandez. That made the score 0-3 after 63 minutes of play. Nuno Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Fernandez was a little too slow when Michael Dalton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-4. Jim Mitchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Mitchell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Diogo Fernandez firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Dalton in the 79th minute of play forced SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Diogo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Shaw hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Diogo Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathew Gunter in the 90th minute. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by SANTOS F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jim Mitchell was slow to take the kick. During this time Margaret Atwood Impact's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jim Mitchell got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diogo Fernandez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Victor Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SANTOS F.C getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ramiro Queiroz hit a great ball. Margaret Atwood Impact's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
