The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 19th minute Jim Mitchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tugay Sabeddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when Dokuz Oğuz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. 尹挺风 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jim Mitchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tugay Sabeddin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mathew Gunter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Dokuz Oğuz's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Mitchell came free, but Tugay Sabeddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Ettore Rosati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Love saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tolga Trabzonlu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Michael Dalton hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ettore Rosati did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Christopher Love 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jim Mitchell made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Jim Mitchell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Margaret Atwood Impact and the Dokuz Oğuz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Margaret Atwood Impact was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Mitchell to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Dalton in the 59th minute of play forced Dokuz Oğuz's goalkeeper Tugay Sabeddin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Dokuz Oğuz's Tugay Sabeddin got control of the ball when Michael Dalton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tolga Trabzonlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 尹挺风 kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Tugay Sabeddin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jim Mitchell. If Mathew Gunter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Dokuz Oğuz's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Dalton came free, but Tugay Sabeddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ettore Rosati in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher Love prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew the final whistle, Dokuz Oğuz could leave the field as winners, despite Margaret Atwood Impact having more of the ball for most of the match.
