Michael Dalton took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Tychy. Alfred Tychy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jim Mitchell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Tychy having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Witomir Beninda. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when Sails Stitinum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanek Japola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Margaret Atwood Impact's Mathew Gunter made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Tychy was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Timothy Watson in the 20th minute of play forced Sails Stitinum's goalkeeper Alfred Tychy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes Sails Stitinum's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jim Mitchell who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Margaret Atwood Impact's Kyle Hay to a score. 0-3 in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Dalton in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Tychy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Hylton Brookes made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Tychy. Sails Stitinum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 29th minute, Michael Dalton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Tychy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Sails Stitinum's zone, Mathew Gunter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Tychy came out of the goal and Mathew Gunter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Hylton Brookes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfred Tychy. Sails Stitinum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hylton Brookes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 40th minute, Mathew Gunter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Tychy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Jim Mitchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alfred Tychy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Witomir Beninda to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Michael Dalton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfred Tychy. The goal made the score 0-9. Michael Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathew Gunter scored 0-10 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Tychy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michael Dalton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Tychy having to make a save. Chris Randall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute, Margaret Atwood Impact's Michael Dalton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. In the 78th minute, Jim Mitchell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Tychy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. Michael Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jim Mitchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 87 minutes, Edward Lagiewniki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sails Stitinum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Lagiewniki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Michael Dalton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Tychy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-14. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Hay in the 94th minute of play forced Sails Stitinum's goalkeeper Alfred Tychy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jim Mitchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Margaret Atwood Impact played a much better game than Sails Stitinum and deserved their victory. The Sails Stitinum players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
