Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jim Mitchell started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Michael Dalton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Collins. Pijnacker's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Dalton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Blair Wicks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when Pijnacker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Terpstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Menzies. Pijnacker's Humberto Collins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Dalton in the 14th minute of play. Humberto Collins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Mitchell in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Jim Mitchell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Collins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Mitchell, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Witold Cebula kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Hylton Brookes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christopher Love took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Wicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jim Mitchell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Margaret Atwood Impact's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Mitchell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Collins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Michael Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute, Jim Mitchell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blair Wicks to strike the kick off in the second half. Margaret Atwood Impact's Kyle Hay suffered a concussion after 51 minutes and had to leave the field. When Frits Duin fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pijnacker's protests and gave Frits Duin a yellow card for diving instead. Margaret Atwood Impact made a substitution. David Anderson replaced Kyle Hay. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when Pijnacker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frits Duin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes Margaret Atwood Impact got a freekick which was hit by Hylton Brookes. After 55 played minutes Margaret Atwood Impact got a freekick which was hit by Adam Searle. After a rather tough play, Margaret Atwood Impact's Adam Searle got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Michael Dalton notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pijnacker's Humberto Collins. Humberto Collins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65thth minute of the game Benet Argoños who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goal looked a bit too open when Benet Argoños came free, but Christopher Love reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Michael Dalton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Michael Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hylton Brookes struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Humberto Collins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margaret Atwood Impact. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Hylton Brookes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Michael Dalton might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Collins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Dalton ran back to his position shaking his head. Humberto Collins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
