Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jim Mitchell was slow to take the kick. During this time Margaret Atwood Impact's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell to fire away a dangerous shot which Gusmão Dias despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gusmão Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Dalton in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Serrinho's goalkeeper Gusmão Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Serrinho's Hermínio Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute of the match Margaret Atwood Impact got a corner. SC Serrinho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jim Mitchell ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell to fire away a dangerous shot which Gusmão Dias despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jim Mitchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Paul Burgess hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Love made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Zarco Severiano sent off a good shot on target. Gusmão Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Mitchell, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 34 played minutes SC Serrinho got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Rebelo. A collision led to SC Serrinho getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hermínio Barbosa hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 52nd minute Hermínio Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Love saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Serrinho's Gusmão Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save SC Serrinho from getting a goal against them. Jim Mitchell made a great header on Margaret Atwood Impact's corner, it was just that SC Serrinho's Gusmão Dias managed to reach the ball for a save. Mathew Gunter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Gusmão Dias made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Michael Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Mitchell got free with Gusmão Dias in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christopher Love stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermínio Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Hermínio Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christopher Love was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Christopher Love showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 88th match minute, SC Serrinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heitor Póvoas to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, SC Serrinho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Michael Dalton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jim Mitchell scored 0-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gusmão Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
