Christopher Love came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Wils FC's Etienne Van Achteren. But to his dismay, Etienne Van Achteren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Klaas Rosbach hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Jim Mitchell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Godfried Van Gertsuyden. Wils FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wils FC's Godfried Van Gertsuyden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Mitchell in the 12th minute of play. After some careless play in the Wils FC defense, Jim Mitchell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godfried Van Gertsuyden. The Wils FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godfried Van Gertsuyden should have stopped the shot. Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Margaret Atwood Impact from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wils FC's goalkeeper Godfried Van Gertsuyden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Etienne Van Achteren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Love read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Michael Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfried Van Gertsuyden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Love showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etienne Van Achteren, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Christopher Love made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Etienne Van Achteren in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Mathew Gunter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfried Van Gertsuyden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Margaret Atwood Impact's Mathew Gunter made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godfried Van Gertsuyden was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Margaret Atwood Impact's Paul Burgess got a free kick in the 34th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryan Grootaers during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bryan Grootaers kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Godfried Van Gertsuyden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Dalton, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Etienne Van Achteren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Margaret Atwood Impact was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Randall to maneuver through the defense. Christopher Love showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Etienne Van Achteren in the 51st minute of the match. After 54 minutes of play, Wils FC's Edwin Koppen made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christopher Love was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Jim Mitchell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jim Mitchell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Godfried Van Gertsuyden firmly grabbed it by the left post. Christopher Love showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Etienne Van Achteren in the 80th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Etienne Van Achteren notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love. Christopher Love was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Timothy Watson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goal looked a bit too open when Etienne Van Achteren came free, but Christopher Love reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wils FC's Oscar De Putter got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when Wils FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Pluijssens didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Wils FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Etienne Van Achteren hit a great ball.
