Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Hermínio Barbosa made the kick off and thus started the match. The coaching staff of SC Serrinho protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cesário Valentim had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Serrinho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! After having played for 10 minutes, Michael Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margaret Atwood Impact's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Dalton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermínio Barbosa. When Heitor Póvoas fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Serrinho's protests and gave Heitor Póvoas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Heitor Póvoas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gusmão Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Mitchell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Michael Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when SC Serrinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeferino Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Dalton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jim Mitchell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Margaret Atwood Impact getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Chris Randall hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Margaret Atwood Impact's zone, Hermínio Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Love came out of the goal and Hermínio Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Barbosa came free, but Christopher Love reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gusmão Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Dalton in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Mitchell got free with Gusmão Dias in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zeferino Neves hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Margaret Atwood Impact's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
