An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Dalton in the 43rd minute of play forced Du Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Markus Pflüger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Dalton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Markus Pflüger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Du Esporte Clube's zone, Timothy Watson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Pflüger came out of the goal and Timothy Watson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th match minute, Margaret Atwood Impact was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Mitchell to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Jim Mitchell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Michael Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Du Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Pitta. A collision led to Du Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Reynaldo Fero hit a great ball. In the 83rd match minute, Du Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Jim Mitchell, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Castro in the 85th minute of play forced Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Du Esporte Clube's Markus Pflüger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Du Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the game, Michael Dalton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Markus Pflüger. Michael Dalton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 97th minute, Timothy Watson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Despite being the better team, Margaret Atwood Impact failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
