Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Hylton Brookes in the 4th minute of play forced Club Atlético Floresta's goalkeeper Gustavo Cordarrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Enzo Matteo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Floresta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Margaret Atwood Impact the free kick. Gustavo Cordarrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathew Gunter, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Christopher Love took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jim Mitchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Jim Mitchell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Cordarrell. Club Atlético Floresta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jim Mitchell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Christopher Love came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Floresta's 张寒默. But to his dismay, 张寒默 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 34th minute Jim Mitchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Cordarrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Michael Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margaret Atwood Impact's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Dalton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when Club Atlético Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Love took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Michael Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cordarrell having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Margaret Atwood Impact's zone, Boruc Pochorylo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Love came out of the goal and Boruc Pochorylo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Mitchell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cordarrell having to interfere. If Michael Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Floresta's zone, Michael Dalton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Cordarrell came out of the goal and Michael Dalton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michael Dalton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Floresta's Bozhil Bakalchev got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Jim Mitchell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cordarrell having to interfere. Jim Mitchell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Cordarrell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Mathew Gunter got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 张寒默 in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher Love prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
