Fillos de Breogán's Garibaldo Quijana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Fillos de Breogán from getting a goal against them. After 21 minutes Fillos de Breogán's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guillermo Marin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Real Club Celta de Vigo's Guillermo Marin to fire away a dangerous shot which Garibaldo Quijana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Guillermo Marin got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Fillos de Breogán booed when Real Club Celta de Vigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Fillos de Breogán's Xurde Pedraza tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Hassan Huerta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Club Celta de Vigo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hassan Huerta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Hassan Huerta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Garibaldo Quijana. Garibaldo Quijana yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Pepe Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orti Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th match minute, Fillos de Breogán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oto Gómez to maneuver through the defense. Garibaldo Quijana was out of position in the 49 minute of play, and Hassan Huerta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. After 54 minutes, Lope Herrero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fillos de Breogán and the Real Club Celta de Vigo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fillos de Breogán getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lope Herrero hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Hassan Huerta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garibaldo Quijana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Guillermo Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Real Club Celta de Vigo's zone, Gabriel Bogatu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pepe Toxeiro came out of the goal and Gabriel Bogatu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
