The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takis Marinakis in the 3rd minute of play forced Gloria Steinem Liberty's goalkeeper Ben Hazel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Takis Marinakis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ben Hazel. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Dean Penfold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gloria Steinem Liberty's Ben Hazel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Gloria Steinem Liberty from getting a goal against them. Akis Remoundos kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gloria Steinem Liberty's goalkeeper Ben Hazel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andreas Tsopelas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Ben Hazel made a huge save. Mark Newman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kosmas Chatziantonis having to make a save. After 23 played minutes The Commandos got a freekick which was hit by Evripidis Tachtsidis. In the 24th minute, Christopher Norfolk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andreas Tsopelas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ben Hazel made a huge save. After 28 minutes, Kevin Reid made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. The Commandos's Kosmas Chatziantonis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Reid in the 31st minute of play forced The Commandos's goalkeeper Kosmas Chatziantonis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evripidis Tachtsidis's late challenge caught a Gloria Steinem Liberty's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evripidis Tachtsidis helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Commandos! The referee gave Gloria Steinem Liberty a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kevin Reid, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Commandos's Kosmas Chatziantonis. 1-2. Kosmas Chatziantonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Reid, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Gloria Steinem Liberty's goal looked a bit too open when Sokratis Tsardikos came free, but Ben Hazel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes Gloria Steinem Liberty's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andreas Stamatakos who took care of the corner kick. The Commandos's Andreas Stamatakos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ben Hazel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half Gloria Steinem Liberty were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Reid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Andreas Tsopelas notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Gloria Steinem Liberty's Ben Hazel. Ben Hazel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gloria Steinem Liberty's Ben Hazel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takis Marinakis in the 58th minute of play. Evripidis Tachtsidis made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Takis Marinakis. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Commandos's goalkeeper Kosmas Chatziantonis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gloria Steinem Liberty's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Reid in the 68th minute. A nice corner shot did that Kevin Reid got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kosmas Chatziantonis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kevin Reid charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevin Reid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Commandos booed when Gloria Steinem Liberty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yawei Ma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Newman kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Kevin Reids short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Kosmas Chatziantonis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Evripidis Tachtsidis made in the 87th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sokratis Tsardikos however managed to control. Gloria Steinem Liberty's Ben Hazel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Tsopelas in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind The Commandos's goalkeeper Kosmas Chatziantonis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
