Hylton Brookes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Laurentzi having to interfere. Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Nafarroa. Racing Club's Diego Laurentzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. Margaret Atwood Impact's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jim Mitchell in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Jim Mitchell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Laurentzi was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. The Margaret Atwood Impact fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Despite this Diego Laurentzi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 85 minutes into the game, Michael Dalton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Diego Laurentzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diego Laurentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Watson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. A collision led to Margaret Atwood Impact getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jim Mitchell hit a great ball. Margaret Atwood Impact's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
