The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Susan B. Anthony Braves's Paul Jones got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Susan B. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Söderström got free with Gerald Newson in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. DSK Dalir's Anton Söderström came free and shot a quick shot against goal 10 minutes in the game, fortunately Gerald Newson had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 12 minutes into the match, DSK Dalir's Anton Söderström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerald Newson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jens-Erik Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Trimm in the 14th minute of the match. William Trimm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jens-Erik Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Susan B. Anthony Braves's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anton Söderström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 18 minutes into the match, Susan B. Anthony Braves's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Hansson came free, but Gerald Newson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Susan B. Anthony Braves defense, Anton Söderström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerald Newson. The Susan B. Anthony Braves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerald Newson should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Susan B. Anthony Braves getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Paul Jones hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Trimm in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Erik Forsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerald Newson made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Anton Söderström sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the game, DSK Dalir's Sven-Åke Vestlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gerald Newson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to DSK Dalir getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Kenneth Mårtensson hit a great ball. If William Trimm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anton Söderström was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Leif Hansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gerald Newson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stig-Åke Collin's late challenge caught a Susan B. Anthony Braves's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Åke Collin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, DSK Dalir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Collin to maneuver through the defense. When Kenneth Mårtensson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jens-Erik Forsberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Susan B. Anthony Braves's zone, Sven-Åke Vestlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerald Newson came out of the goal and Sven-Åke Vestlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerald Newson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Collin in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to DSK Dalir getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Leif Hansson hit a great ball. The DSK Dalir support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
