Guallupe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Pun the free kick. The supporters of CD Pun booed when Guallupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubelteso Trexo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guallupe's Ubelteso Trexo got his second yellow card of the match in the 16th minute. The referee ordered Ubelteso Trexo off the ground. The supporters of CD Pun booed when Guallupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubelteso Trexo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Ibarra Cachero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Palacios skillfully saved the ball. If Zabal Carral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Zabal Carral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guallupe's supporters rose to their feet, but Zabal Carral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Palacios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Zavior Cabrales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredo Ali kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Zabal Carral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Weterio Grados received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Virila Murias made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Palacios made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zabal Carral in the 53rd minute. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
