Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Macías Vinuesa got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, Xurdin Salcedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vilson Zabala came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raimundo Colon could save by the left post. With a little luck, Guayaquil City's Raimundo Colon got control of the ball when Vilson Zabala tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Macías Vinuesa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guayaquil City were furious when Roque Adarzo was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 24 minutes into the game, one of Guayaquil City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Vilson Zabala came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the OFFSIDE SPORT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilson Zabala couldn't finish the play. Uzuri Pumar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Raimundo Colon made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xurdin Salcedo made a kick off. After some careless play in the Guayaquil City defense, Xurdin Salcedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raimundo Colon. The Guayaquil City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raimundo Colon should have stopped the shot. In the 57th minute Xurdin Salcedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Colon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilson Zabala in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Xurdin Salcedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OFFSIDE SPORT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Raimundo Colon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xurdin Salcedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in OFFSIDE SPORT's zone, Paulo Boreyta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cotera Palos came out of the goal and Paulo Boreyta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the game, Xurdin Salcedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Raimundo Colon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes into the match, Guayaquil City's goal looked a bit too open when Vilson Zabala came free, but Raimundo Colon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guayaquil City's zone, Xurdin Salcedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Colon came out of the goal and Xurdin Salcedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Uzuri Pumar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilson Zabala in the 86th minute of play forced Guayaquil City's goalkeeper Raimundo Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilson Zabala, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Raimundo Colon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilson Zabala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. OFFSIDE SPORT had played much better football throughout.
